# Deployment

Units that were built in the [Build](https://borderclash.gitbook.io/border-clash/game-mechanics/how-to-play/turn-phases) phase of the previous turn can be deployed during the [Deploy](https://borderclash.gitbook.io/border-clash/units/deployment) phase.<br>

**Deploying Units**

Deploy a unit by first selecting the unit type in the top of your screen and then selecting a target country (must be a country you own).<br>

**Deploy Limit**

There is a limit to how many units can be deployed in a country in any given turn.&#x20;

You can always deploy **at least 1 unit** into a country.&#x20;

You can deploy **1 additional unit** for each **friendly neighbour** (= a country you own, that is sharing a border with the country you want to deploy to).<br>

You can [research technologies](https://borderclash.gitbook.io/border-clash/research) that can increase the deploy limit.
